    Hello readers

I Have been givne an an EDL that was created on AVID and I cannot seem to open it in FCP 5.1. I have had a look at it in the text editor and it looks nothing like an edl. I have also added .edl to the file, to which FCP responds with ‘badly formatted edl’. It is a ‘unix executable file’.

I was just wondering if anyone could take a look at it and let me know if it works in avid or if there is any hope for the file at all?

email me at wo********@*****il.com for the file.

    cheers

I don’t go back and forth between AXP and FCP very often. When I do, Automatic Duck makes it a breeze. You may want to check them out here:

Sometimes, it makes sense to spend a little on these kinds of things so you can concentrate on editing. My opinion, of course.
