    Rohan,

My advice. Output several different types of edl’s. You can export CMX 3600, Sony, or Grass Valley edl’ s formats with Final Cut.
The limitation might be on what type od edl the SMOKE can read.

The compatibility of the edl will also depend on how well you logged and captured your footage (reel names, etc)

FCP edits in interlaced video. If you recapture the progressive footage as progressive footage in the smoke then the TC and reel numbers should be fine.

Just a hint here, your post is erratic, not specific enough and when you do not describe what you are trying to do it makes it harder for people to help you out. For example, I have no idea what frame rate you are editing in, all I can tell is that you started in FCP and want to end in smoke. please be more specific if you want help. Tell us about your workflow, maybe then we can help.

    David

    Peace and Love 🙂

regardless of what you’re trying to do, (ei. frame rate/size) you should be able to export your seq in many formats of edl & copy them to a drive for online, but also, find out what type of smoke you’re going to online on, and see if it will accept an FCP XML file. as the newer version of smoke do. (for smoke, it may also be a plugin that you can download from autodesk)

    good luck,
    Marc
