edl export
anybody out there ever have trouble exporting edl’s? i’ve jumped the project between FCP4 & 5, also a few different systems to try to get this to work. whenever i save it to export right to my desktop, it acts like it worked, then edl is nowhere to be found. i condensed the video tracks as much as possible, but still have multi layered effects, motion, and text. any solutions/suggestions???????? if not, calling FCP in the morning.

Try exporting an XML. much more data…

Good advice, except that applications that require EDLs are not the same applications that can read FCP XML.
