EDL conversion in FCP 4.5
I’m working on a commercial shot in HDCAM and downconverted to DVCAM for the offline edit. The DVCAM is 29.97 fps, and we’re going to be doing the conform in HDCAM at 23.98 fps. My online editor says it will be no problem doing this EDL conversion in the Avid, but I was wondering if anyone knew if FCP 4.5 could handle this EDL conversion for the offline, or would cinema tools be required for the reverse 3:2 pulldown on the EDL?

Cinema Tools is required to convert the EDL from 29.97 to 23.98. It is a simple menu option…
