    Hi All,

I do not have the original AVI file (client lost it) but I have an MPEG (MP2) file.

The client wants the final product on DVD — am I losing too much information by not editing with the
original AVI or does it matter since the final product is a DVD?

    Thanks

Mpeg2 will not hold up well to re-rendering.

What kind of editing do you need to do? There are programs that will let you edit Mpeg2 without re-rendering such as Mpeg Wizard.

    Hi,

Nothing fancy, was going to use Vegas to do basic cuts and add a title, etc then create final DVD. What do you think?
