Editing with oversized pictures
I am editing a project on AVID Xpress Pro HD 5.2 that uses some pictures. Is there a way to bring them into AVID and keep their size larger so I can use them with the pip to zoom into and out of the picture with out becoming pixilated? Thanks

I beleive if you change you import setting to “Maintain, Square” that should do the trick.

Look at using the ‘pan & zoom’ effect, if your going for that ‘Ken Burns’ effect. Add some filler (it could be anything, like a submaster FX, a clip of video), add the P&Z FX. Go into the FX edit mode, and click on the little box in the top left hand corner. A dialog will open asking you to select your photo. Play!
