I am trying to edit a four angle concert together. I have all four videos synched up in the timeline in four differant tracks. I was wondering if there was any way to view all four videos at once when I play back the timeline (like if each track was viewed in a separate viewer at the same time). The closest I could find to this was the multiclip sequence, but even then it didn’t corrolate with the timeline, making the editing process overly meticulous and unforgiving, easily prone to falling out of sync. If there was a way to link the multi-clip sequence to the syncronized tracks on the timeline. it would make the editing process more efficient. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The multiclip feature will do what you’re after, but I’d suggest you study the manual and use the feature as it was designed to work instead of trying to fit it into the way you think it should work. It’s not designed to sync with individual clips you’ve already added to the timeline. You create your multiclip and put IT into the timeline. Read up on it. I didn’t find it very intuitive, but it will work once you wrap your head around their process.

if you have your footage on 4 different tracks in the timeline, you can open each clip individually into the viewer, and adjust its scale attribute down to 25%, then reposition each clip in the canvas so they don’t overlap. After you make your initial edits, go back and rescale.

To edit multicam clips, and view ALL clips at the one time whilst making your edits, do the following:

    1) create your multi-clip and place on timeline, and select it so it appears in the viewer.
    2) switch your options (middle pull down button above screen) in the VIEWER window to ‘OPEN’ as opposed to ‘SYNC OFF’ or any other selections.

Now you should be able to scroll along (or play) your multi-clip on the timeline and see the CANVAS window play the current selected clip and the VIEWER play all the synced clips.

    Cheers.

    Cheers,
