Editing with a powerbook
For all of you editing on a powerbook pro, do you choose to use an external mouse….and do you use the keyboard that is part of the computer or do you opt for a seperate keyboard when at home?
I got a keyboard Final Cut profilactive cover to label the buttons on the laptop which so far seems to work ok.
As well, I was told I can disengage the mousepad on the powerbook itself so I can rest my hand there without having the mouse and mouse pad competing with each other.
Any insight on what you’ve found to work best for yourself?

MacBook Pro, or Powerbook? There is no Powerbook Pro. Just saying…
When on the road I just use the laptop with no peripherals. Works fine for a lot of stuff. When I used it as a serious IN THE BAY station (when my main setup was being rented), I added a second monitor, put the MBP on a stand, got a separate keyboard and mouse.
So it depends on the situation.

External mouse? Are you kiddin’ me? Then you wouldn’t have the awesome trackpad gestures. They’re way cool once you get used to the them.
