editing while client sits in remotely?
Hi guys –
I have a client who wants to be in on all the editing sessions but sometimes he can’t physically be there so instead I use Skype to share my screen or talk with him. This works out ok but I know there must be some sort of program out there that works better for this type of client editing.
he simply needs to be able to see whats going on and also hear the editor talk as well as the audio playback from the edit.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

That’s the best low-cost way to do it. Specialized tools are much more expensive.

If you have video out…
I’ve heard of people using a Slingbox for this purpose…
then you can use a speaker phone or Skype just for the audio communications with the client.

Is there nothing similar to FCP 7’s iChat Theater Preview? That worked really well for me and a few clients when we had to cut remotely. I’ve read that since Mavericks, that ability was removed by Apple. Are there no other programs that offer that similar functionality for Premiere or Avid?
