    hello guys,
i am a newbie with fcpro 7 and i have purchase it because i was told it was one of the best softwares for editing video clips. I was looking at tutorials but i couldn´t find an answer to my question, so maybe someone can help me out here 🙂

I need to edit a couple of mucic video clips, not a slideshow or anything like that, a professional video clip and i want to add some fotos to it, for what i need to do i might need to be able to see the clip, frame by frame or at least be able to select a few frames at the time so that way i can edit and create effects. Is it possible to do it with final cut pro ???

If someone can help me out i would appreciate so much.

    Thank you in advance,

    Luis

    Luis,

This is very possible with FCP, but do not understand exactly what you are trying to accomplish.

If you need help with the basics try the FCP Basics forum.

Any other details you can add to what you are trying to do?

Ok, let me explain it :
i have a music video clip, let´s say lady gaga music clip and i want to add some photos in between the clip and also change a few frames of the clip, example: let´s say she has a photo frame in her hand and i want to change the photo to put mine.

    Thank you once again,

    Luis

You can def do it. There may be some other programs that you could use to track this kind of motion more accurately (a picture being replaced in a frame) — Mocha, After Effects, Motion are some of those programs — but it can also be done in FCP’s motion tab by changing the size and position of the overlayed media (put it in Video track 2 and the original footage in Video track 1).

I have a huge problem on which i am taking de final cut pro back, it didn´t know it would take 52GB of memory , i was told it would take max 9GB. Is there any other software that can do the same thing that i need to edit which doesn´t take so much memory space ?

    Thanks again for your help,
