Hi all im working with footage with different frame rates and different compressors and different cameras ie apple pro res, apple inter codec. xdcam cannon 7d some is 1280×720 other 1920×1080 the frame rates vary i have 25fps – 23.98 and 29.97fps the final job will be on a dvd and broadcast PAL.
Whats the best way of doing this? I was thinking of going to easy setup and selecting Aja Kona LH- 1080i 25 pros res as my preset or a 720p setup, then edit all the footage and then render out the different frame rates that need rendering. I have tried a few tests it looks ok but not quite right the cannon 7d is flickering a bit and the other frame rates mixed together look a bit off, i have about 1.5 TB of footage on my hands I hope im not walking into a world of pain here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks Emmet

Hi Dave thanks for the advice at the moment i have various timelines with footage thats all synced up to external sound which was synced with a clapper board., this is what i was given to work with. so we are talking here about sequences with various formats apple pro res 25 being the main which is good because i wont have to touch that, i just need to convert everything else to match the apple pro res 25fps but if i convert my video this will then cause issues with my sync sound when i bring the footage back in. another question, if i convert the video and then dump the original to another drive as a backup disconnect that drive my timelines should all reconnect to my new converted media, thus saving me a lot of time? then i just need to figure out the audio. What do you think? Thanks Emmet
