Editing System
I am currently looking to upgrade my computer to something that is not so slugish. I have a P4 3.2 single processor with 1 gig RAM and 250 SATA Drives RAID 0 and 2 CRT Benq monitors. Can someone recommend a kick ass system that Vegas wont be sluggish on (I understand that AMD Dual core is good??)….I am tired of looking at choppy playback of my nestled timelines everyday. Now I understand that rendering clips would solve this problem but I talk to many editors and then assure me that Vegas can playback video clips real time without choppyness…..I have yet to experience this….
Also, can someone recommend an affordable broadcast monitor that will playback quality images when external preview is selected.. Is there a monitor that can switch between DV/SD, and HD??

I believe Black Magic has a product that will do the DV/SD HD switching like you are looking for.
