So, I’m not really a Cinema 4D (or any 3D) person, but I’ve inherited a revision to a Cinema 4D file that I don’t know how to execute. As the file stands a sweep object animates along a spline. The shape it draws is a dollar sign, but now has to be changed to a Euro. Of course, I can select the individual points and try and reshape the object, but doing this to form something as exact as a symbol (with probably nowhere the same number of points as the original) – hand reshaping doesn’t seem the way to go about this. I’ve imported (merged) illustrator vectors before. Is there a way I can use an illustrator file to replace an existing spline in the project.
Any help would be most appreciated. Oh, if it matters, I’m using C4D R8

either use the text tool in C4d to create a euro symbol or generate it in AI. If in AI, create outlines, save as an eps version 8. Import into C4D. Your dollar sign should be a spline inside a sweep nurbs. Pull out the dolloar sign and replace it with it with the eps.
