editing SD and HD in one project
i have some SD footage from a client so they also wanted to add some interviews which i shot for them in HD question is, is it possible to edit together SD video clips and HD clips and put to DVD?

Yes.
If you are going to SD DVD and no Future need for a Bluray/HD file then
Edit in a SD sequence.Drop the SD file into a new sequence and let FCP match it.
Then drop in the HD clips and resize/position as needed.
Having the same frame rates will be wise as well.
