For the first time I am working with Red “R3D” files.
The Cameraman that gave me the footage said it’s “Red raw” footage.

I am not quite sure what that means. Is it comparable to a raw image from a digital photocamera? Can I change the lighting in a red raw clip just like it can be changed in a raw digital image in photoshop?

If yes, could someone please tell me where I can find more information? especially… where are the “image controls” that let me change the lighting for example in the raw footage?

hope this question makes sense ; )

Right click the file in the project panel or timeline and choose “source settings”.

GREAT! That’s exactly what I was looking for.

    Thank you.
