I’ve previously used Vegas Movie Studio 8 and just started using Pro 9, but I have a question I can’t seem to find in the tutorials. In Movie Studio, I can move a video event around on the timeline and the audio stays locked with it, but in Pro 9 they move separately. How can I set it up so they move together?

Hmm, well, it seems like if a particular A/V clip (say, from a camcorder) moved together in Vegas Movie Studio, that same clip should move together in all versions of Vegas, but in any case:

    (1) Select both clips (CTRL+Click or Shift+Click or use the Selection tool).
    (2) Press G on your keyboard (for Group – Press U to Ungroup).

In addition to Eric’s suggestions, you may have accidentally clicked (i.e. disabled) the Ignore Event Grouping icon on the taskbar.

Thanks fellas, you’re both right, I needed to disable “ignore grouping.” It was apparently the default setting in Movie Studio, but not in Pro and it really threw me. At least it was something simple.
