Editing P2 on a PC laptop?
Is anyone successfully using a PC laptop to edit P2 footage? I’ve been looking at Dell’s Precision M6400 covet; https://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/workstation-precision-m6400-cov?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&cs=04 Any thoughts?

Sure…if you get an editing application that works with P2. Premiere CS4, Avid (make sure that that machine is on Avid’s list of recommended machines).

Thanks Shane, I have CS4 Producton Premium. I pretty much just cut in Premiere and do everything else in AE. I’m thinking of this as a desktop replacement. Vista 64, Core 2 Quad QX9300 2.53GHz, 8 GB RAM, 2 250 HDs (should these be Raid 0?). Is this sound thinkihg or am I just suffering from bright shiny orange gear lust?
