Just starting a feature doc and am confused with how PP is treating the proxies/original media.

The original media is spanned over 7 different drives. So for each drive I want to ingest the material and create/attach proxies, setting the destination for the proxies as all being on one large hard drive. I did this for the first hard drive to test out. So far, so good. Proxies connected and toggle on and off ‘proxy mode’ works and reveals in finder.

However, when I close it down, eject the original media hard drive and open the project up again, it looks for the original media. So I choose to offline it all, thinking that in ‘proxy mode’ in PP it would still be and connect to the proxy files, but it isn’t and the proxies are showing as offline. I then right click on everything and attach proxies manually, the material there, but it’s still saying in the project panel column that it’s offline, plus I cannot reveal in finder.

Any advice? Do I just need to relink all of the media to the proxy files and ignore the ‘proxy mode’ workflow?
