Hello, I have just bought Adobe CS3 and love the MXF file support. However there is no Black Magic presets for MXF and everything has to be rendered. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a product for the PC similar to the Matrox MXO because at the moment that seems like the only way to edit native MXF files. My system is Multibridge Pro it seems such a shame not to use it, but using native MXF is sooo fast and as they say time is money.

    Thanks, jane

    Hi,

i´m also looking for a solution to edit xdcam with
    premiere pro and decklink.
I posted already my problem but ididn´t get an answer from
bmd, if they will support xdcam in the future.

I think the best solution will be a Axio LE system.
Works with PProCS3 and xdcam and also P2.

I think it will be the best solution for and perhabs for you
    also.

    Greatings

Thanks for the reply Claus, I have contacted BMD direct and have had no response either. I am thinking you may be right Matrox will be winning clients away from BMD. We are editing everyday and this is how we make a living, if our equipment suppliers cannot be bothered to answer our questions it really is time to say goodbye BMD and hello Matrox.

    Convert mxf Files?

not possible to converts them first!

    Thanks anyway!

mxf at first is an issue for final cut pro.
apple don’t wants you to use mxf directly. (remember p2-import into fcp)

    the xdcam-codec is a blackmagic-issue.
i’m shure they will suppport this in the future.

but as long apple doesn’t support mxf you still have to import everything (unwrap from mxf -> wrap into quicktime)
