  • Editing iphone footage in Premiere CC?

Has anyone had experience editing with native iphone video footage in Premiere CC? I’ve been reading about some people having ‘sync slip’ issues. Is converting the footage necessary? I’m not sure there will be time to convert everything but don’t want to get into trouble later on when it would have been better to take the time up front.

    Thanks!

The problem with iphone etc footage is it has variable framerate instead of constant framerate, hence the out of sync issue.

I brought an iphone movie into my mac using Image Capture — in a .mov wrapper. This imported into Pr but it was really an MOS take–no lip sync.
I wonder how an iphone movie would behave if you brought it into a Pr timeline set to 30fps.
