Thanks to some advice from here this newbie was able to convert all his P2 files to mov files. I have the P2 files on two hard drives, because they add up to more than 1 TB. When editing it seems I need to have the drive where the P2 files are or they won’t work. I’ve tried rendering them once I import them, but all that does is get them to work after I’ve added them to my work. Is there any way to get my clips I’ve taken from the mov files to work without the hard drive attached? Should I save them as a new Quick time and then reimport them? Do I have to buy a bigger drive?

You need both drives connected if you want to work with all of your footage.

Can you plug both drives into your computer at once?
