Editing files captured in FCP7 using PPro 5.5?
Hi
Ive looked through the forum for an answer but can’t seem to find exactly what I want.
I edit on FCP 7 (TV News so not a high end editor) and have offered to capture some HDV 60i material for a friend to edit on PPro 5.5 (windows). I know there are compatibility issues but my question is….
Is there an easy way around this? How can we edit the files produced in FCP7 on PPro 5.5?

If I remember correctly the Apple HDV codec will not work on Windows without special codecs. If you can capture straight to Prores or can transcode the footage to Prores it’d be better.
