Hello! I’m about to start co-editing/post-supervising a feature-length documentary and I was curious to hear anyone’e experiences working on larger projects in Premiere. Are there issues with project files with lots of footage? Are there issues with timelines being too large? We’re shooting a mixture of Canon C300 and 5d (both at 23.976, not messing with 24p) and using Macs to edit. Thanks for taking the time to read and I’d look forward to hearing anyone’s experiences!

Had some good experiences (Mac), just be sure your hardware can handle it, Ppro should not be an issue, AE might be in some cases.do some testing with mixed footage.

I don’t think the current version is stable enough at this time. In theory it can handle longer form projects but it is exhibiting odd crashes in many cases. Also, do the research on your particular workflow as in 5.5 there were some odd quirks working with merged clips that forced me to re sync some footage.

I’m with Doug. Working on a long project with tons of footage and it crashes…

5d material here too, running on a Mac Pro.
