editing event in multi track 5 min scene
I need to trim an event and have all following media move with the trim and all the previous stuff stay put. I have done the select all, group, remove from, and get the results I need, but in a huge scene this is mind numbing. Any help will be great as I have about 30 scenes to go. I’m using vegas 8.

All you have to do is turn on ripple edit and you can accomplish what you want very easily. The arrow next to the ripple edit icon adjusts how it works .

I believe that only works on the track you are editing,right? I have multiple tracks that are unaffected by ripple.
