I’m editing DVCPRO 50 (mainconcept codec) in Premiere Pro 2.0. I’ve created a custom project with everything set to handle the format and still my timeline show up red. How come? That never happened in 1.5.1.

I can play and edit the footage but the red unrendered marking bugs me since it shouldn’t be there.

    Any thoughts?

No thoughts…but wondering how you get DVCPro50 into your system? Does Mainconcept support capturing to it’s codec in PPRO?

We use pro50 but capture with Decklink uncompressed since nothing on the Windows side supports native pro 50 capture.

I’m only using Mainconcepts codec as a sort of intermediate. I like the file size, how it plays back and the color it holds. I will never go out to tape on this project. If I do it will probably be through converting to an online system like the Avid DS.

It seems strange that I can’t get PPro to work with a Video for Windows codec without constantly beeing reminded to render the project.

I’m having the same problem with other codecs. Tried it with the standalone CFHD (without having Aspect HD installed) and the Morgan Mjpeg codecs. I’m doing everything the same way I used to do it in 1.5.1. Can’t understand what it is I’m doing wrong.
