Editing challenge – 360 degree filming
OK bit of a technical editing challenge I’m looking for alternative ideas on or rather how best to do it. I’m doing a music video for my band and in one part of the plot the room starts spinning. I have a room with 360 degree panorama, it has curved distortions but I like the effect, and the room is a jpeg which I will use as the background. I then want to put moving people in the room green screened on top of this panorama jpg. The challenge is how best to set up, in the Sony Vegas timeline, the room spinning around with the green screened people maintaining their position in the room (i.e. spinning with the room), as if the camera was on a tripod in the centre and turned around and around. I can see a fairly manually intensive way of moving everything individually (and we’re talking a lot of green screen people – 12 ish) and then jumping from the right hand side of the background jpg to the left once the end of the right hand side is reached but I was wondering if there was an easier way where the green screening figures in front can be tied into the track motion panning across the background jpg and how best to keep cycling the background around and around. Hope that makes sense – and I’m not too embarrassed by a painfully obvious answer! btw I’m not on Sony Pro yet (just movie platinum, 12 …I know I know upgrade)
many thanks in advance
