    Hi All…

just digging into Premiere Pro and need some editing advice…

Is it possible to do a Mult track Lift edit?

In the Sequence windows of many NLE’s you can extend a frame selection (In to Out) across multiple tracks by muti selecting the corresponding tracks themselves. I can’t seem to do this. Only one video or audio track can be slected.

So for example, if you want to lift or extract a selection that say is within the heads and tails of multiple vertical events along the sequence, it seems to me that the only way to do this is to razor (Ctrl K) accross all tracks and then marquee select the new events and press delete.

Can’t the In and Out points be used as the basis of the frame selection accross multiple tracks and then multi slect tracks to extend the In to out range slection vertically over selected tracks?

    What am I missing?

One workaround is to insert the Sequence icon (from the Project Window) into a new Sequence….there the lift command will work as there is only one track (the nested sequence).
