  • editing a RealD stereoscopic project after the fact

    Hi all,

I may be working on a project coming up that was created using RealD technology (same tech used in Avatar 3D). I would be involved in rotoing elements and replacing elements in this movie. Then, I’d need to reapply the 3D/stereoscopic data.

I’ve never worked in stereo and so there’s a huge learning curve. And considering the fact that I’ll be working off of a finished product I’m a little nervous about successfully re-integrating the new shots seemlessly back into the stereoscopic world.

Anyone have experience extracting, editing, reinserting elements into this type. Or any pointers for research?

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Ryan Kelly
