    I shot some 720p 60 on a JVC HD GY250.
When capturing I noticed there is only a 720p 30 preset.
I used this to capture the footage and when playing back on the timeline, the audio is not synced with the video.
How can I capture this footage so that it is properly synced?
    Thanks in advance
I’m using CS 5.5 on a new workstation to edit. I can provide specs if necessary.

Is the footage in sync as start and end of clip when you watch it back in the source monitor?

Thank you for answering. It’s a wedding reception, mostly just dancing, and I almost didn’t notice it was out of sync until I got to the toasts about 17 min into the tape. The toasts are off by a sec or two in the source monitor when I play it back.
I did notice when I was capturing that it said the capture duration was over 2 hours when I was only capturing a 60 min tape, so I figure I’m not doing something right but can’t figure out what.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

Try this: When creating a new project, select this 720 30p preset if there´s no 60p, go to personalize section in the same window to configure this proyect preset, and change framerate to 60p, don´t really know if premiere will allow you to do this with this concrete preset, but he does with the 720 50p preset which allows me to edit 720 25p (native) footage recorded with my Panasonic P2 HVX200.

    Thanks.
My choices are 23.976, 25.00 or 29.97. No option for 60 fps.

I should mention that the file plays fine in windows media player so I’m assuming it has something to do with Premiere.

Have you tried dragging and dropping files from the proyect pannel to the New element icon in the lower part of this pannel? It creates a new sequence with the same features than your footage. Only have to do it with the first one, the next ones can be dragged directly to the created sequence.

Thanks. I have tried that with the same result even tho the sequence shows 60 fps.
My friend who runs the local tv station also uses Premiere Pro CS 5.5 so I took the file down to him and we dropped it into his timeline and got the same result. Audio not synced with the video.
It also plays perfectly in windows media player on his workstation.
    We are stumped.
