Editing 50i 60i and 25p together
Hi all,
I have a little bit of a problem. Editing a wedding video and unfortunately all the footage I have was shot at 50i, 25p and 60i. So I need to edit them all together, don’t really mind which format I end up in, as long as all the footage plays well together.
I suppose converting the 60i to 25p or 50i would be best, and then editing in either 25p or 50i?
I tried using natress, but it took quite a long time to render out, and time is an issue. Is there a quicker way to do it? And what are the best settings in Natress for converting 60i to either 25p or 50i, just to be sure I’m not doing something wrong.I appreciate any advice, thanks.

Choose one format to edit. I’ll assume you are working with HDV footage. You’ll need a lot of time and patience using HDV. If time is important, upgrading to a new Mac Pro with a fast RAID and plenty of RAM will speed things up.

it’s going to be a PAL DVD and a HD mpeg2 file for playback on a PS3 (I’ll be going with compressor’s program stream preset).
So I guess converted the 60i to 25p or 50i is the best option, any advice?
It’s annoying really, there were 3 cameras set up, and one was on 60i when it should have been 50i.
Any help much appreciated.

i don’t know~but good question~~hope someone can really answer it, instead of just writing some inessential things that we don’t need.
