Editing 4K iPhone .MOV files in Vegas Pro 13
Whenever I try to import 4K iPhone .MOV files into the timeline in Vegas Pro 13, only the audio shows up. I have searched and searched, and can’t find any really solid information about this. Vegas Pro 13 doesn’t have any problems at all with 4K footage from my Sony FDR AX100, so I know it can handle 4K footage. But this iPhone footage has me baffled.
Here are the video specs of a sample 4K video clip that I’m trying to import:

It is because nle doesn’t like variable framerate – your phone use variable framerate for expouser !
You have to convert your footage to constant framerate before you can use them in Sony Vegas !

Also the hevc h.265 maybe is a problem for Sony Vegas Pro 13 – I don’t now but try with Handbrake to convert your hevc h.265 to x.264 with constant framerate !
Maybe buy and install the Filmic Pro app on your phone – then you can use your phone like a video camera and set it to constant framerate !

I never used Handbrake before, so I downloaded it and gave it a try. I converted using the H.264 codec at 30 FPS with the same frame width & height (3840×2160) with a constant quality of 20 to an MP4 file.
And it worked like a charm! Vegas now allows me to import the video files.

If you are shooting video with your iPhone I highly recommend getting Filmic Pro. It will give you a lot more control and is worth every penny.
