Edited Media format
I use Sony Vegas Pro with Raylight to edit media from my P2 Cards (*.MXF Files I believe). When I have done it all, what format is the best for a final product? If I need to send it to a Broadcast house? Or if I need to cut it to Blu-Ray?
Do Braodcasters have a preferred format accross the board or does each one have it’s own? And what is the *.avi YUV HD format? (I have written a file to this format (1920×1080 Square pixel) and it is huge)

You have to ask them. Each one has its own specs that you must conform to. Some accept self-contained QT Movies, DVCPro HD tape, MPEG-2 or H.264.
