  • Edit View Selections Fall Far down the Multi-Track Timeline

Why when editing a long narration, for example, moving clips (selections) from the Edit View to Multi-Track (by hitting Ctrl-Shift-I) does it place the clips minutes away from where I need them to go, right next to the previous edited clip in the Multi-Track? They are placed far down the timeline, and then I have to drag each one back to align next to the chain of edited clips, end-to-end. And with each clip sent over from Edit View, they slip further away down the timeline. I suppose my question would be, what determines where a selection from Edit View will be located when sent over into Multi-Track?
