Edit to Tape problem – DVCPro 720p25
I have a sequence that is 720p25, I’m trying to output it to our AJ-HD1400 deck, HD-SDI with Decklink Extreme HD.
I’ve set the deck to the right mode (25p/50i at 720p), striped a tape past 01:00:00:00 and put it in remote.
I open Edit To Tape, set the in point of 01:00:00:00 and hit the Assemble button.
FCP says it’s going to do it, the deck displays ‘EDIT’ indicating it’s getting some comms and an indication of what it should be doing, but then nothing. It stops and FCP reports a ‘General Error (88)’.
The deck doesn’t show any signs of trying to cue. Tape is parked at around 00:59:59:00 and in Remote.
I’m lost. I’d rather not crash record.

There is no such thing as 50i on DVCPro 720. You need to set the deck to 50P.
