Trying to insert edit a new credit roll at the end of a 1 hour documentary, but at the insert point there’s always a duplicate frame recorded. Looks like a common problem according to the last 3 months posts, but I haven’t been able to find any definitive answer.

I’m editing in PAL SD and mastering on Digibeta, using a Blackmagic card. I’ve heard that using a sync pulse generator to lock all the hardware together might help. Any ideas, before I have to go through the process of laying off the whole 1 hr doc again? We have to produce 6 copies of the TX master so this will be really time consuming!
    Thanks, Pete

Most decks require careful experimentation to determine the offset required for things to happen between the computer and the card and the deck’s ability to interpret the Mac’s commands.
Is the duplicate frame coming from the timeline? Can’t you just set your in point on the timeline one frame later?

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
