Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy edit to tape

    Hello!
I am trying to edit my sequence to a mini DV tape.
My tape is coded correctly and my in-point is valid, but on the tape, the sequence is always one or two frames before or after the in-point. And the difference is never twice the same. Why can’t I edit my sequence properly? Is it due to the mini-DV format, should I edit it to a DVcam tape?
Thank you for helping me out with this (very-annoying) problem
    C.

    It’s a limitation of firewire.

To be completely frame accurate, you need to use a deck that can be controlled by a machine language known as RS-422.

AFAIK, you can’t get that via firewire.
