Can an Avid Adrenaline on a PC with Edit Share be set up to handle files larger than 2 GB? This 2GB limit with HD is really a hassle with XDCam HD. Shooting with the Sony’s 355s @ 35MB VBR that’s only a few minutes. I understand that I can do proxy first but that’s not always an option. I have work arounds but I’d like a solution to the 2GB limit unless its a PC thing.

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks,

It’s a FAT32 thing – FAT32 is often used on disks needing to be accessed across Mac and Windows systems as it’s the most widely supported format.

However NTFS in Windows has no 2GB file limit and should work with Editshare I’d have thought.

Not true. Fat32 can export 4 GB. I am having the same problem – i have MC 3 and can only export 2GB using quick time. This is ridiculous.
