Searched everywhere for an answer with no luck.

Editing in Premiere Pro using mostly After Effects QuickTime renders I have created. Initially I had all these renders on my internal SSD dropbox folder but now after running low on space I have moved the renders to an external ssd drive.

Now whenever I hit “edit original” in Premiere it no longer opens up the relevant After Effects composition.

It was working fine for a month as long as I kept everything in the same place. Now that I have moved the renders (for storage reasons) the link between the After Effects comp and the premiere QuickTime file appears to be broken. I have “Include Project Link” checked since day one. So what used to be a very fast process of hitting a shortcut key for “Edit Original” in Premiere quickly opening the relevant comp, now I have to locate each comp manually.
