Edit a DVD sound track

Can you clarify what you need to do:

1) change the word “stero” to “stereo” on a menu (and replace the menu)
2) actually change the audio for the title from one format to another
3) other?

I need to edit the sound track not change the format. I wnat to have some effects (reverb) on the sound track and then re burn the dvd

Personally, I wouldn’t bother reconverting the AC3 back to WAV to edit it. If you have the source material (the audio from which you made the AC3), just add the reverb there, and re-encode to AC3.

The key, of course, is to avoid changing the length of the audio track, or the position of any portion of it, relative to your video.

If audio timing does change (or the total length of the soundtrack changes), you’ll have to change your video track accordingly.

Yes…Christopher is right. If you have the original assets, do the editing, then convert back to AC3. I assumed you no longer had the original uncompressed files. If not, then you’ll need to convert to an editable format, add your effects and encode back to AC3.

I am not sure if the format is AC3, this dvd vedio has been shot by a vedio camera.

is there a simpler way to achive my task ?and If this is the only way to achive it, could you give me more details steps? how to extract the audio track, then vedio , then re brun the dvd.
