  • Edit a CR2 raw image sequence

I shot a timelapse sequence with my still camera in the “raw” cr2 mode (Canon RebelXT). How do I import these images into After effects to be edited? I’m use to doing this as a jpeg sequence, but I heard there’s more functionality in color correction with raw images.

    Thanks,

    Jeremy

Try the adobe DNG converter to create the universal raw files because some of the new cr2’s from canon cams are not supported. Although If your cam does make generic raw, then just import it in AE and select image sequence check box. Use interpret settings to readjust raw after import.

Andrew, thanks for taking the time to reply.

I’ve downloaded the DNG converter and converted the CR2 files to DNG files, but I’m still not able to import them as an image sequence in AE. I think I’m missing something here. Any ideas?

Should I convert them to DNG files or some other type of format?

    Jeremy
