ED.. help me with pan crop in excalibur
Ed.. perhaps I am doing something wrong.
I have a multi cam synced up for switching. 5 cameras
tallied on a track already, say 4.
If I go to one of the video tracks (5 for example) and apply a crop
when I do that the tally window goes to pot and all i see is the cropped track in the background ( over everything )
vegas 6 and exc. 5

Don’t do anything until you create the Master track. Once the Master track is created, you and crop as needed. Because of limitations in Vegas, Pan/Crop had to be used to create the PIPs used by Excalibur so if you change Pan/Crop, you’ll get potentially strange results and the cropping will be removed when Excalibur creates the master track anyway.
So… wait till the end and THEN apply the crop. At that point, you’ll probably need to mute the original video tracks as well as the MasterTally and MasterTally2 tracks so they don’t accidentally show in the cropped area.
