  • Easy way to put an InsertedPic into motion (?)

Posted by Jim Cornetet on May 8, 2007 at 2:37 pm

    I have Vegas6.

I cant seem to figure-out an easy way to take an inserted-picture of a cartoon cloud and move it from the rightside of the screen, thru the entire frame over to the left…in one fluid motion….without having to do it “frame-by-frame”

Is there a tool or an easy way to insert a pic and put it into motion?

    Please help….

Either Pan/Crop or Track Motion should work fine. First keyframe, have it on the right side. Second keyframe, the left position. Make sure the “smoothness” is zero. Press PLAY and watch it slide across the screen.

    You do it with keyframes.

Open the Pan/Crop tool (button on the right of the timeline event) for your cloud pic.

Turn on the sync cursor on the bottom left, next to the keyframe controller. To create a left to right motion, zoom in a bit on the left side your pic. Scroll the cursor on the keyframe controller to your end position, then move the ‘viewfinder’ box over to the right side of the pic. You should now have clouds moving across your screen.
