Easy Setup EX missing for FCP

I have recently started working heavily on my MacBook, instead of my older G5. I was just inserting my footage into the timeline, it would ask if I would like the time-line to convert to match the footage and I’d say yes… Didn’t think much of it. Today I had some time and thought I’d look into it and I don’t have EX as a set-up! Now I have it on my older G5, but I honestly can’t remember how I got that set-up! I know this is such a newbie question, but honestly I’m at a loss. Sorry… embarrassed… blushing… (he quietly asks) Any help? Thanks!When you’ve got family… everything else is extra
