i imported my footage as prores (hq) in final cut. the footage was shot in 1080 30p. now i have no idea what settings i should choose for easy set up or audio/video settings. also is there any other settings i should deal with?

PS sorry for posting 2 questions in a row.

Shot with what? Did you transcode to ProRES HQ 1080 30p? All you have to do is drop the footage on a new, empty timeline and FCP will ask if if you want to use the settings of the footage – just say yes!

shot on 60d and i converted it to prores HQ.

Okay wow sorry for the dumb question! I guess i just thought that when you just drop the clip in the sequence it will just change the sequence settings for you. so i wasn’t sure if i needed to adjust any other settings as well.

That’s a User Preference you can choose in FCP- to automatically change the sequence settings to match the first clip, to ask you or to do nothing.
