So this is gonna probably sound dumb, but I can’t seem to find anything on it anywhere. I installed Lite 8.1.1 on my Macbook Pro quad core, re-started the computer, and when I attempt to open resolve it says ‘no license’ and forces me to quit resolve.

I’m sure I’m missing something in the process, I just can’t seem to find any posts that can help me.

I will take a wild guess that you downloaded this today? And it asked you for a serial number? And you entered something? If that’s what happened, you actually downloaded the 8.1 FULL Resolve version.

The web site should never ask for a serial number to download Resolve code. For some reason, today it is asking. And if you give it something, you’ll get 8.1 Resolve full.

We are aware of this, and it should be sorted out soon. Anyone with this issue should keep trying in an hour or 2, and if it asks you for a serial number, it’s still broken, and you should not proceed, and try again later.

Until this gets fixed, there is a workaround. When you click the Register and Download button after filling in all the info, it automatically starts downloading a file. That’s currently the wrong file. But you will see there is also a LINK displayed to the file. If you click the link, you will get the correct file.

This issue should be fixed in the next 2 hours.
