    Hi,

Does anyone have any tips or know of any plugins to create realistic looking little crash zooms digitally in Premiere Pro CS5.5 (or After Effects, although I’d rather do it in Premiere if possible)? We’re shooting a film on a RED Scarlet and we want a documentary style look to it, but we don’t have the reach on the zoom that we want, so we’re thinking of adding the occasional little zooms in post to give it that raw ‘shooting on-the-fly’ quality.

I’ve played around with the standard ‘scale’ and ‘position’ tools but it looks rather fake, even with adding a bit of radial blur and easing in/out at the ends of the keyframes.

Has anyone successfully done this before? Any advice would be welcomed.

    Thanks

    David

I’m using Premiere Pro CS5.5 on a Mac Pro 8GB RAM if it’s of any difference. I forget the processor speed off the top of my head, but it’s pretty decent, but the system is about 4 years old now.
