    Easiest way to convert file to Apple ProRes 422?

    Hello,

    I just want to convert my video footage to Apple ProRes 422 and keep the best and truest settings for everything–a straight conversion. I tried to load it (P2 footage) into Adobe Media Converter but it wouldn’t recognize it.

    But I can Export in Quicktime. Do I need to monkey with any of the settings, like ‘Color Sync’ or anything like that… or can I just simply select the ProRes codec, type in the correct image size and be good to go?

    The default audio is Little Edian, is that lossless for the audio?

    Video is fine – each of the different ProRes codecs dictate different data rates (depending on FPS)

    Make sure you’re FPS is identical or same as source.

    Audio should be LInear PCM, 48khz Stereo 16 bit.
