Easiest Roto software
Hi all. We have a project we’re working on that will require some Rotoscoping. Three or four shots, a locked off shot of a skyline, one where the camera moves, one where the camera is locked off and an object in frame is moving.
I’ve basically narrowed my software choices down to Silhoutte FX (AE plug-in) and Combustion. My question is what do people here recommend? Is Combustion very difficult to learn? Silhoutte FX seems to be the “down and dirty” choice — quick and fast. If all I’m doing is rotoscoping, and perhaps a little painting, should I go with Silhoutte FX or is it worth it to learn Combustion? Also, I’ll probably have to do some keying. Would this make Combustion worth it?
Any feedback is really appreciated.
