  • ¿Add mask to specific shape layer content?

Well. Title almost says it all.

I have a shape layer which resembles a smiley and it has several contents: circles, rectangles, custom shapes, etc… Now I’m in the need of adding a mask that affects only one of the contents of that shape layer but so far I’m unable to do that. Does somebody know if that is possible? I’m using CS6.

    Thanks.

What are you trying to do with this mask?
If you just want to cut part of the shape out, use shape groups and merge path features in the shape layer tools.

[Michael Szalapski] ” If you just want to cut part of the shape out, use shape groups and merge path features in the shape layer tools.”

Ah… I’m not used to that but now I think I understand what you want to explain. I think you mean use more shapes as they were masks substracting or adding with the merge path. Is it?

I’ll take a look. Thank you!
