I was wrong, it appears to be a cadence error.

Thanks Jeremy, I figured it out!!! I had the camera set for 480/24pN. But It can only shoot 24pN in 720p mode not 480i mode. So I changed it to basic 24p and TA-Daaaaa. Thanks… P.S.Silly question but is there any way to shoot 720p or 1080i in 4:3 Aspect Ratio???

Well, there you go. Didn’t even know that was possible to select those combinations.

You can’t shoot Hd in 4:3, but you can shoot 16×9 and protect for 4×3. You should be able to bring up guides in your viewfinder and on your monitor (maybe, not all monitors have that function).

What are you trying to do?

LOL, I know!!! Well the client wants full screen HD shoot. As they put it “no black bars on the top or bottom”. So I’m left thinking aboot what to do. Any Ideas

If they want full screen HD, then 16×9 it is (that’s full screen in HD).

If you mean they are going to show it in SD, then you need to shoot in HD but protect for SD like we talked about. When doing your editing, your monitor your program in from HD in SD with a center punch or center cut (or crop in Kona terms). I am sure you can bring up 4×3 guides in your viewfinder and if your monitor has it, you can do it while shooting as well (or tape off your HD monitor).

let me try this again:
